Buy An Aircraft

Tell us how you fly and what you want to spend. We find the aircraft, check it properly and get it home to you.

Start with how you fly.

The right aircraft comes from the trips, not the brochure. These are the questions we ask first. The search request button opens an email with them filled in.

  • How many passengers, usually and at most
  • Your typical trip and your longest trip
  • Runways you need to use
  • Purchase budget and expected yearly flying
  • Where the aircraft will be based and registered
  • Who will fly and maintain it
  • Financing or cash purchase
  • When you want to be flying it

How an acquisition runs.

Each step has to be finished before the next one is worth paying for.

  1. Requirements and budget

We agree what the aircraft has to do and what it can cost, including the running costs that come with each type.

  2. Market search

We review advertised aircraft and ask owners and brokers about aircraft that are not.

  3. Records first

Before anyone travels, we review logbooks, tracking reports, engine program status and damage history, and drop aircraft that do not hold up.

  4. Offer and agreement

We negotiate price and terms, work with your advisors on the letter of intent and purchase agreement, and set up escrow.

  5. Pre-purchase inspection

We agree the scope and facility, attend the inspection and negotiate how each discrepancy is fixed or credited.

  6. Closing and delivery

Funds, bill of sale, registration and delivery, including import into your country when needed.

What we check before you see an aircraft.

Most expensive surprises are already written down somewhere. We look for them before you pay for travel or an inspection.

  • Airframe and engine times against the logbooks
  • Engine program enrollment and transfer terms
  • Life-limited parts and upcoming major inspections
  • Airworthiness directives and service bulletins
  • Damage history and repairs
  • Avionics mandates such as ADS-B Out
  • Paint and interior age and condition
  • Registration and ownership history
